Department of Quranic Sciences
The department was established in the academic year 1997–1998 but was closed in the same year. It was reopened in 2004, bringing together a distinguished group of professors known for their competence and academic reputation. The department has consistently excelled in graduating students, with its graduates often achieving top ranks within the college. Evening studies were introduced in the department in the academic year 2017–2018. The master's program in Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education was launched in 2018–2019, followed by the opening of the doctoral program in 2021–2022.

The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Women aims to achieve the highest levels of knowledge in the field of Islamic sciences and their various branches, attaining excellence in teaching, research, and practical application. It seeks to disseminate authentic Islamic concepts within society, reinforce Islamic identity, and actively contribute to the upbringing of generations based on the meanings of the Qur’an and the genuine ethics of Islam. This is accomplished by preparing graduates with high levels of expertise and scientific competence, equipping them with the necessary professional skills to succeed as specialists in all Islamic sciences and to work efficiently across various social sectors of the state.
The department strives for excellence by developing qualified human resources capable of serving Islamic sciences through authorship and teaching in a scientific manner that combines authenticity with modernity, supported by qualified academic staff in the field of Islamic sciences. To fulfill its mission, the department must ensure the quality of its graduates—teachers and instructors—who are capable of shouldering the responsibilities of education and advancing its standards.

Preparing advanced teaching staff in the field of Quranic recitation and education, including memorization and interpretation, particularly among women, who represent half of society.

Preparing distinguished female cadres in the fields of Islamic preaching and education, conveying the message of Islam to society, thereby contributing to the formation of a generation that believes in God and the divine message and embodies the morals of the prophets and righteous individuals.

Supporting educational and pedagogical institutions in the country with distinguished female teaching staff capable of providing the best expertise in Quranic sciences and various Islamic studies.

Preparing specialized staff in understanding Islamic jurisprudence and other Islamic sciences, free from fanaticism, terrorism, or sectarianism.
